Ceramic trials..

Some ceramic decorations that just came out of the kiln this morning. These were meant to be little Christmas gifts last year, but looks like I'm now really organised for this year's gifts!! #winning #pigeongillian #ceramics #ceramicsalwayssurprisesme #learningbymakingmistakes #notperfectbutiloveit

More experimenting in ceramics...

Another trial fresh from the kiln this morning. A wee while ago I experimented with pressing a Lino cut into a flat piece of clay, but only got around to adding a wash of glaze onto it this week. The colour really makes the details stand out and I'm thinking of lots of possibilities!!! The clay needs to be rolled out much thicker to avoid curling like in this trial, but maybe this technique could be a new 'thing'?!?! #experimenting #silkcutlino #pigeongillian #ceramics #linocut #linocarving #experimentsinclay #printmaking #reliefprint #printlife
